COALITION INITIATIVE

Our Beliefs
We believe in the one Triune God: Father, Son and Holy Spirit. (Matthew 28:19.)
We believe in the Son, Jesus Christ, the Eternal Word, Who is God made flesh, the Lord and Redeemer of all humanity in Whom alone is salvation, not by works of man, but by repentance toward God and faith in the Lord Jesus Christ. (John 1:1-14; Ephesians 2:8-10; Acts 20:20-21.)
We believe in Holy Scripture as the unique, divinely inspired Word of God that, by the power of the Holy Spirit, is able to make one “wise unto salvation.” (II Timothy 3:15.)
We believe that God created the universe and everything in it. (Genesis 1-2.)
We believe that God created man, and that in doing so He created man in His image, and both male and female. (Genesis 1-2.)
We believe that God instituted and ordained the family. Jesus Christ said, “Haven’t you read that at the beginning the Creator ‘made them male and female.’ For this reason a man will leave his father and mother and be united to his wife, and the two will become one flesh. So they are no longer two, but one.” Accordingly, marriage is a sacred covenant between one man and one woman.(Matthew 19:4-6).
We believe that human sexuality is a gift from God and should be offered back to Him either in marriage for procreation and union, or in celibacy for undivided devotion to Christ. (Matthew 19: 10-12.)
We believe that the family is the fundamental building block and institution of society—the very nucleus of all human civilization—and that anything that threatens the family threatens the moral and social orders.
We believe that children are a gift and blessing from God, and that they should be raised to prepare them for service to God’s Kingdom and to humanity, and in accordance with God’s divine plan for the family as understood through God’s Holy Word. (Matthew 19:14; Psalm 78:1-8.)
We believe in the sanctity of life, which begins at conception, and that every person has dignity and worth. Human life must be protected and defended from conception to natural death. (Jeremiah 1:5; Psalm 139:14-16.)
We believe that God requires us to love everyone, and that because of our love for our fellow man, and because Holy Scripture states that no man comes to the Father except through the Son, we are thus obligated to speak what is true, and that to do so is an act of Godly love. (Matthew 22:37-39; John 14:6.)
We believe that because we must love everyone, we must speak truth in love and with compassion, and not in a spirit of militancy or anger.
We believe that religious freedom is the primary and fundamental freedom, and that our religious heritage must have a place in the public arena. We believe that we have the right to speak without persecution or discrimination.
We believe in the importance and power of prayer. Prayer reveals the wisdom of God. Prayer guides us in decision-making and in staying in the will of God in everything we do. Prayer makes us more like Jesus. ( Ephesians 6:18; Luke 6:12-13; Phillippians 4:6-7.)
In accordance with the aforestated beliefs we, as an association, anchored in continuous prayer for wisdom, agree to be on mission to take action as follows:
To engage our community, state, national and world cultures with the truth according to the Holy Bible by actions, including but not limited to, helping, assisting, and encouraging one another and other followers of Christ, and those outside the faith, through publications (newspapers, magazines and books), seminars, large group events, training in small groups and churches, and generally making ourselves available as the Lord sees fit.
