National Resources

Hillsdale College has a very good collection of information on homeschooling and curriculum. It is not classical in the sense that the next few are, but it is certainly a traditional American education, in the best sense of that phrase. It’s also not explicitly Christian, but it’s also very welcoming of Christianity. https://k12.hillsdale.edu/Curriculum/Overview/

Veritas Press – this is mostly a classical Christian curriculum provider. They also have resources on learning about homeschooling, particularly in the classical Christian context. https://veritaspress.com/

Memoria Press – same description. https://www.memoriapress.com/

Classical Academic Press – This is just a classical Christian curriculum provider. It is affiliated with ClassicalU. https://classicalacademicpress.com/

ClassicalU – this provides very in depth information on how to homeschool and the classical Christian education methodology. https://classicalu.com/

Well Trained Mind – this website combines information about classical Christian homeschooling and curriculum you can buy. https://welltrainedmind.com/store/

Circe Institute – this is a website that has very good information about the classical Christian education tradition (though they also have a writing curriculum which is highly regarded). https://www.circeinstitute.org/

Institute for Excellence in Writing – this program is used by many of the above curriculum providers. Some consider it the best for early and middle grades. https://iew.com/

Christian Book – Just a curriculum reseller, but this helps limit the available resources to those that are (for the most part) in the Christian tradition. https://www.christianbook.com/

Homeschool Legal Defense Association – this provides excellent information on homeschooling options and laws across the country. They also have a public interest law firm arm. https://hslda.org/

Local Resources

Schole Fellowship – this is a homeschool coop in Knoxville. It is affiliated with CAP/ClassicalU, but it is run locally. https://thescholefellowship.com/faq/

Classical Conversations – there are quite a few CC coops in the area. They are designed to be all encompassing programs for K-12. https://classicalconversations.com/

List of Knoxville Area Coops – this list is certainly not inclusive of every coop, but it’s a good start for those that appear to be in the Christian context.  https://knoxvillemoms.com/guide-knoxville-homeschool-cooperative-resources/
